As we reflect on 2012, MFE would like to wish you all a happy and healthy new year. The past year has brought much success and growth to Manchester Foundation for Education. We donated 200 alarm clocks to the Manchester school district’s attendance officer and social workers to help curb chronic truancy and tardiness. In September, we were happy to work with the NH Fisher Cats to participate in their school supply distribution. In November, we held our first professional development workshop for Manchester teachers. Over 25 teachers attended the day long workshop focused on engaging all students and differentiated instruction. We welcomed new board members and are working on developing projects for 2013. None of this would have been possible without the financial support of our most generous donors. In addition to individual donations, MFE was proud to receive monetary and in-kind donations from Mr. Mac’s, Portland Pie Company, Jerome’s Deli, Cactus Jack’s, IBM, Verizon and our workshop facilitator Susan Fitzell. As always our focus is improving student achievement and helping to create the most successful school district in the Northeast. Your ongoing support is critical. There is still time to make a tax deductible donation in 2012, via our website, www.mfenh.org or to PO Box 6424, Manchester, NH 03109. Thank you again and see you in 2013!
